Dirty, old, poorly kept hotel. A nightmare.

I've been to a bad hotel, and the Copacabana Atlantic Hotel is one of the worst. I will not be able to post all the photos, but I will reduce and synthesize. I booked through booking.com and liked the presented room. Upon arriving there I came across another reality. Old hotel (40 years, for what I found out), decadent, dirty, poorly preserved, well compatible with the neighborhood of Copacabana, decadent, dirty and poorly treated. It's disgusting to lean on furniture, floor and everything else. Cracks, dirt, old cigarette tips in the window, bathroom carpet already wet due to some leak in the box, dust, a lot of dirt. Initially, the air didn't work right.
Of good the bedding seemed clean to us, towels and the staff of the reception, these yes, the silver of the house, with the exception of a gentleman, who knew to be Ecuadorian named Rene, antipathetic man, rude and poorly polite. The others, such as Silvestre, José Maria, and his colleagues, score 10. By the dirt in the room, we were imagining the coffee making. I admit that we drank, in a limited way, the coffee, with fear and with disgust. Hard breads, looking like the rest of the day before. Colds with awful appearance of dried and even darkened by prolonged exposure, saving the cheese mines. Little variety. High prices; and as I had to go to work, I asked to leave the bags and we were charged 30 reais. If the health surveillance would inspect the site, it would be prohibited. About the photos that Booking presents and deceives fools, like me, are very few reformed units. A nightmare.

No live is a nightmare.

What seems to be a good choice by location, in practice, is a disaster. Live, the situation is much worse than the pictures suggest. The hotel is in a state of abandonment: old and worn furniture, mouthy room with the smell of sewage and a noisy air conditioning that makes rest impossible.
The lack of hygiene is widespread. Corridors, elevators and the pool area are always dirty, and the gym has an unbearable smell. In the bathroom, discouragement reaches the details, such as the use of bad quality plastic toilet seats.
Breakfast is of low quality, with slow repairs and a hostile atmosphere (high TV with violent movies). About the location: Although central, the street is filled with street people, which brings insecurity.
To close, the care is the worst I've ever had. Poorly trained, unmotivated and extremely rude employees. Don’t fall into that trap; there are much better options in the area for the same price.
