Bad experience
Terrible service at the front desk, there is very little space at breakfast and you have to wait in line for a long time for a table. The cleaning service in the room was mediocre. I do not recommend it
Astoria Copacabana
A duas quadras da mais famosa praia do Brasil, o Hotel Astória Copacabana possui uma estratégica e privilegiada localização: situa-se próximo ao Metrô Estação Cardeal Arcoverde, no mais importante centro turístico do Rio de Janeiro, com teatros, cinemas, bancos, lojas, boutiques e restaurantes ao alcance de uma curta caminhada, porém, tendo como endereço uma tranqüila e arborizada rua de Copacabana.É muito difícil para quem visita o Rio resistir ao apelo de seus 80km de praias. E Copacabana, com a belíssima calçada da Av. Atlântica em mosaicos pretos e brancos, formando as famosas ondas, é a principal responsável por tamanho fascínio.Na verdade são duas praias: Leme e Copacabana, que ocupam uma extensão de 4,15km. Freqüentada tanto de dia quanto à noite, a praia possui quiosques, ciclovia, bicicletários, postos de salvamento com chuveiros e sanitários, hotéis, bares e restaurantes.Além de contar com dois Fortes Militares, um em cada extremidade, com vistas panorâmicas e abertos à visitação.

Good hotel
I stayed at Hotel Astoria Copacabana in the second half of 2025. The breakfast was well served and varied. The location is excellent — it is practically in the face of the goal, a few meters from the beach of Copacabana, and is also relatively close to the Christ Redemptor, which makes it quite easy for those who want to take advantage of the city's main sights. The hotel itself is reasonable, within what is expected for the category and region. Another point that made me calm during the stay was the enough police in the area, which brings an extra sense of safety to walk around, especially at night. In addition, the police came to the hotel in the morning and were invited to have breakfast, which brought even more sense of security, since there were some bored discussing in the vicinity at that time.
