Camping do Jesus

A serious safety alert, especially for women.

The place itself is paradisiac, has shared kitchen structure and bathrooms, and the owner, Jesus, is a very friendly and receptive gentleman. However, the safety of the site is extremely precarious.
The campsite is completely dark and the access to the beach is completely open, allowing anyone to enter without being seen. Unfortunately, we were victims of a situation of extreme gravity: around 1 a.m., a person invaded the tent of a friend of our group and committed a sexual mutilation and physical assault, taking advantage of the fact that she was alone at the moment.
The site does not have any security cameras or lighting at traffic points, which makes it impossible to identify the author (who we believe was from the campsite or the surroundings) or inhibit the action. To complete the vulnerability, there is no cell phone signal in the area. We spent a night of terror and left the place in the same morning. On the road, in front of the Alagoas BPRv, we tried to trigger the local police, but unfortunately we did not have any support or return from the authorities.
There is an urgent warning of improvement for the campsite: immediate installation of lighting and cameras. And the maximum alert for the women who often camp: be very careful, the lack of isolation and monitoring of the space leaves us fully exposed. The trauma is forever.

Best camping I've ever stayed!

Camping do Jesus is located in Maragogi, on the beach Pontal do Mangue. You can walk to Antunes Beach. Dawn there is the most beautiful thing! It is a proposal for integration with nature.
You will not find any comfort, but you will feel very close to nature. There is no gas stove: take advantage of cooking in the wood or alcohol stove. There is no power point in the camping area, but there is a power point in the common area where you can recharge your cell phone, power bank, etc. There is no wi-fi, but the operators get well there. There's a lot of shadow all day. There's no mosquitoes, we used repellent and we slept with the tent open. Much peace. An amazing sea, shallow, turquoise blue, warm and calm water. The bathrooms are satisfying. It has kitchen utensils, sink, tank for laundry. There's no water filter, take yours. There is no commercial, take your food, but on the nearby beaches there is a bar and restaurant. There is parking, but it is not in the tent area.
Despite what seems bad, (just seems) I consider it the best camping I have ever stayed.
